Ottershaw Park, Surrey – A Setting Steeped in History
Set within the grounds of the distinguished Ottershaw Park estate in Surrey, this project benefits from a backdrop rich in architectural and cultural heritage. Established in the mid-18th century, the estate has evolved from its origins as a Georgian country retreat into an impressive Victorian-Edwardian mansion, later serving the community in various capacities—from a wartime auxiliary hospital to a respected boarding school. Today, Ottershaw Park stands as a unique residential enclave where historic character is complemented by carefully considered modern craftsmanship.
It is within this prestigious setting that we were commissioned to create a bespoke walk-in wardrobe—an interior designed to reflect both the grandeur of the estate and the refined lifestyle of its current owners.
Bespoke Walk-In Wardrobe – Boutique Luxury at Home
We designed and built a fully bespoke walk-in wardrobe that captures the luxury and elegance of a high-end boutique. Every detail was tailored to elevate the user experience and maximise both beauty and functionality.
Along one side, we installed full-length glazed doors, allowing the client to enjoy a complete visual display of her clothing, shoes, and boots. This creates an immediate boutique-style impression and brings a sense of organisation and calm to the space.
At the centre, we incorporated soft-closing pull-out drawers paired with LED-lit shelving to highlight handbags, purses, jewellery, and accessories. A cleverly integrated secret door blends seamlessly into this section—when closed, it functions as a full-length mirror, maintaining a sleek and uninterrupted appearance.
On the right-hand side, classic shaker-style doors provide discreet, practical storage for larger and less display-worthy items such as luggage, bedding, and additional hanging. This ensures that everything has its place, without compromising the visual elegance of the room.
The result is a walk-in wardrobe that feels exceptional the moment you step inside—an inviting, luxurious environment that delivers both a sense of order and a genuine wow-factor experience.
